We are happy to announce that our masterplanning project Bishan to City Feasibility Study has won a Gold Award at the Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards.
The aim of the planning study was to further progress of the National Cycling Master Plan by providing seamless connectivity between Bishan and the City along the Kallang River.

Overall Plan of Crossings and Route
This URA commissioned study was to determine the technical feasibility of a series of pedestrian and cycling friendly crossings along the Kallang Park Connector with the aim of creating a seamless route.
Major road obstacles such as the PIE and Sims Avenue mean that the current PCN route is fragmented and in places difficult or dangerous for PCN users. The study looks at options and solutions to resolve these issues and connect the entire route whilst also incorporating themes and references to the historical, cultural, and biological diversity along the Kallang River.

The planning study also intends to enhance the entire route, and considers criteria such as aesthetics, functionality, buildability, and cost.

At Stephen Caffyn Landscape Design we find ourselves increasingly involved in leading Cycling infrastructure projects. In this regard we have expanded our scope of services from Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, and Urban Design, to include Cycling Consultancy Services. We have built up expertise in cycling infrastructure in the course of developing strategies, cycling standards, and track treatments for different Govt agency clients in Singapore.

LTA's Cycling Network - for which we developed the cycling standards and treatments for urban cycling paths and designed and applied these to the specific network routes and treatments for the HDB towns of Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Toa Payoh, Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Panjang, and Woodlands.

Round Island Route (RIR) Corridor B - Coastal Adventure - This is the first phase of the Round Island Route and is currently in construction. This route comprises of 63Km from Seletar Dam East along the coast through Changi down Singapore East Coast and through East Coast Park to Gardens by the Bay East.

Round Island Route Corridor A Masterplanning - SCLD carried out Masterplanning for the Round Island Route with a focus on Corridor A (Eco-Discovery Trail) from Jurong to Seletar.
